This listing is for a small fragment of Beta Cloth which was flown onboard Apollo 13. This cloth came from the collection of Mission Commander Jim Lovell. Earlier this year, I obtained this patch directly from Captain Lovell, via Heritage Auctions in their May 2021 Space Auction (Lot 50323 ). The fragments were taken from the outer edge of the patch, as shown in the photos. The full patch cost over $7500, so this is a great way to add a genuine artifact of the mission to your collection at a low price. Each fragment of Beta Cloth measures approximately .5" wide. I've attached each fragment to an 8x10" professionally printed photo, using non-yellowing, archival-grade linen tape to prevent fraying. These fragments were taken from a Beta Cloth insignia which was purchased from the mission's Commander, Frank Borman. Last year, Mr. Borman held a private signing through Novaspace, and he decided to sell a few flown patches from the mission at that time. Each display contains a triangular piece of Beta Cloth, measuring approximately .25" wide. The cloth has been mounted to an 8x10" photo display, backed by archival-grade mounting tape to prevent fraying. These fragments were taken from a Beta Cloth insignia which was purchased directly from the mission's LMP, Walt Cunningham.  Each display contains a rectangular piece of Beta Cloth, measuring approximately .5" x .25". The cloth has been mounted to an 8x10" photo display, using a small drop of archival-grade silicone.
